OLERICULTURE :

Olericulture is one of the branches of Horticulture that deals withvegetables. Olericulture is derived from that latin word ‘oleris’ whichmeans pot herb and the English world culture which means cultivation. The olericulture means cultivation of pot herbs.

More than 60 type of vegetables of indigenous and exotic origin are grown in Bangladesh.Vegetables production has increased between 1980-2003 in bangladesh with an average amout  growth rate 2.8%.Vegetables production is an important activitiesbamong farmer of jessor asnd savar.

In this blog ,i have written about the food value ,natural value  &curative valu of vegetables,classification of vegetables,production technology of vegetables.We should keep these  point  in our mind, if we want  to cultivate  better vegetables.
